Testing in Utah

Before pointing the bike south, it was time to see how it actually handled real terrain. This round of testing wasn’t about looks or specs on paper, it was about feel. How the bike reacts in soft sand, how it tracks through rocks, and whether the upgrades actually make a difference when things get rough.

Upgrades Put to the Test

A few key changes went into this setup before hitting the trails:

IMS oversized tank for extended range

Pro Circuit T6 JCR full exhaust

Upgraded 200W stator to support future lighting upgrades

Swapped factory tires for Tusk T45s for improved grip

Each of these plays a role, but this was the first time everything came together in real riding conditions.

Out in the Terrain

Utah delivered exactly what was needed—deep sand, loose rock, and a mix of unpredictable terrain.

The added fuel capacity from the IMS tank immediately changes how far you can push without thinking about range. It’s one of those upgrades you don’t fully appreciate until you’re out there and realize you’re not constantly watching the fuel level.

The exhaust opened the bike up noticeably. It breathes better, feels more responsive, and just overall more alive when you get on the throttle.

The stator upgrade isn’t something you “feel” right away, but it’s setting the foundation. With more power available, the plan is to run stronger lighting for night riding—something that’ll matter a lot down in Baja.

Tires Make a Difference

Switching to the Tusk T45s was one of the biggest immediate improvements.

Compared to the factory tires, the grip is way more confidence-inspiring, especially in soft sand and loose sections. It’s not the final tire setup, but it’s a solid step up while dialing in what works best before moving to a softer compound.

Dialing It In

This wasn’t about pushing limits—it was about understanding the bike. Where it feels planted. Where it struggles. What still needs work.

Every ride like this gets it one step closer to being fully ready for what’s ahead.
